Tuesday was a washout and my favourite sister and her clan were camping at Lyme. The ventured into Exeter as I had sold them the Party on Exeter Quay idea. When we arrived we found some very soggy and windswept crafters packing away their goodies and the Wellcome Trust tent being held to the ground by the Wellcome Trust team. So we headed into The Waterfront and ate pizzas in the dry and worked our way through a pack of origami paper. Then we headed to the hub. I have a tiny living room...not ideal for entertaining the masses but I do have a hub. Finn was practising his Diabalo tricks, David read the papers on the sofa, Rosie and Lottie put on a show (inspired by the last Make and Take session with The Craft Hub ladies), I made bunting, Alice played on the typewriters, my sister Tama went shopping for a new camp bed and brought back cake and mum looked after us all on the coffee and washing up front. It was the perfect playspace.
It was hard to get my head in gear yesterday. It took a while to stop calling the day Monday.
Lots of people stayed in yesterday. It was such a rainy day. At lunchtime we made bunting. Lovely Sharon who was our ideas and interior decor woman at our cafe suggested we use the green man on our logo, pop him onto bunting and people decorate him. So we did and they look great. If you would like to join in with the bunting we will be making it over the new few weeks...
You (and the hub) were the perfect host! Something for every member if the family! Xx
