Kosher & Halal: A Food Celebration

The hub was a buzzy and busy place today. Emma, Rehab and a lot of other amazing helpers were phenomenal. The weather stopped people getting to the centre to help set up but they and their husbands were great...with very little notice of extra jobs to do they got the whole event rocking and rolling.

I had to be elsewhere so I opened up and left them to it returning later to find the Kosher & Halal Food Celebration in full swing. We were welcomed at the entrance to the alley by Nazima (who will be doing henna patterns at our fair on Saturday), then welcomed into hub by Oriole who made us feel at home, we had henna patterns, fabulous tasters, lots of chat and explanations, great to see the local police community support officers there too. It was a really good social event with lots of buzz and despite the weather the turnout was fabulous.
